Roxbury Resource Center is a walk-in only, stimulating and very busy site! On Saturdays, the shift if from 9-2.
We feature an a la carte menu of Boston EITC Coalition asset programs including: - 1 to 1 Credit Advising - Tax time savings options includes Series I US Savings Bonds - Onsite banking services/products - Screening for public benefits
We would also love if you could make a multi week commitment, so if you are planning on volunteering several times/every week, if you could sign up as soon as you know that would be a great help to make sure we are fully staffed! If it is your first time to the site, please remember to bring your VITA certificate and your 4012 spiral bound IRS book

The South Boston Resource Center is open for free tax preparation each Saturday from 11am - 3pm. We need approximately 4-5 volunteers. Coffee and breakfast-ey type foods will be provided at 11, and a light lunch will be provided around 2pm or so. Contact Christina McRorie at Christina.McRorie.JCS@cityofboston.gov with any questions.
Please bring your 4012 (spiral bound flip book) with you! Note: Volunteer tax preparers must present a copy of their basic certification to the site coordinator before preparing any returns. Intermediate Tax Preparation Training
Sawyer Building Suffolk University 5th Floor Computer Lab 8 Ashburton Place Boston, MA 02108 Sign up for this event to become certified in intermediate level tax preparation. You must be certified in basic level tax preparation before attending this training. This is the first year we have offered the opportunity for volunteers to become certified to prepare returns dealing with: - Itemized deductions - Small business income and the Schedule C-EZ - Retirement income and the 1099-R - Homeowners and the Schedule A You are not required to be certified in intermediate level tax preparation to volunteer at a site. Training will take about four hours. Testing sessions for intermediate level certification will be held by the Boston EITC and are indicated in the event titles on the calendar.
